all the way to ohio

fine, joe williams. i miss some of my students. you win. mostly just nijay though. but who wouldn't miss an adorable jamaican kid who had never heard of shakespeare?

lucifer. that's who wouldn't.

unfortunately for the hundreds of thousands of people reading this right now, i don't have any breaking stories from teaching in the "inner-city" since i'm on "vacation" right now. i never knew vacation to involve getting one of these for christmas, but i suppose things just get continuously more wild on the post-grad ride. ohio has been mundane and relaxing, and "skiing" in sun valley will be a great transition back into semester two of teaching for america. and, as a side note, seeing as this is my first blogging attempt, i'm willing to take suggestions on things. so, blogspot has so kindly given me some examples of labels for this post: "scooters, vacation, fall"--all of which are interestingly connected to this post. especially since my dog, scooter, got a very thorough bath yesterday. i'll also label "our future president," "teddy bears," and "macaroni and cheese," for good measure.

but, we miss nashville. yes, already.

but, the break has been feasible thanks to the following:

a desperate and ultimately failing attempt to learn this song:

a beach-boys wanna-be christmas tune thanks to the one and only nate ruess: (Okay. so sue me, christmas is over.)

upon returning to nashville, i suspect i'll inevitably encounter thousands of die-hard followers and will be encouraged and cajoled into updating this life-altering blog on a day to day basis. until then, enjoy the weakness of this post.
